Professor Anthony will discuss her experiences at five Border Patrol detention centers in the Rio Grande valley. She interviewed detained children to assess whether they were being treated humanely and according to existing legal requirements and she also worked in Mexico representing asylum seekers who are left homeless under  the Migrant Protection Protocol Program.

Professor Anthony is an attorney and UIS Professor of Legal
Studies. She is also a member of the Abraham Lincoln Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Springfield.
