Born in NYC to  Senegalese parents, Pape straddles two cultures. A history major, Pape’s interest in pre-colonial Western Africa and the impact of European imperialism runs deep. Pape is serving in Assumption as an Americorp volunteer as he earns his masters degree in community development from WIU. Joyce Throneburg is the service leader. Service begins at 10:15am.
