Women’s Book Group
Our UUFD Women’s Book Club was established almost 25 years ago and is still going strong. We currently meet in members’ homes on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6 pm for a pot-luck dinner and book discussion. Books are picked one or two months in advance and include fiction and non-fiction. Recent selections have included: My Beloved World by Sonia Sotomayor (a memoir) and A Man Called Ove by Bachman (fiction).
We currently have about 10 active members with meetings averaging 8 people. We invite new people who enjoy reading and discussing a wide range of topics. RSVP’s are required for each meeting. For more information please contact
Humanist Discussion Group
Each month a member volunteers to present a topic and facilitate a discussion. Lively, informative and sometimes edgy, this group enjoys grappling with controversial, timely issues. The humanists meet on the first Wednesday evening of the month.
